Transform Your Navaratri: A Magical 9-Day Watercolour Painting Journey to Awaken Joy and Confidence
Celebrate Navaratri with brush and colour—learn watercolour step by step while awakening your inner strength.
Join the Navaratri Watercolour Journey Because this Navaratri isn’t just about worship—it’s about you.

Why This Watercolour Painting Workshop Matters
As women, we pour ourselves into so many roles—mother, wife, caretaker, professional. And somewhere along the way, the little girl who once loved colors and creation becomes quiet, hidden beneath layers of responsibility.
Navaratri is a celebration of the Divine Feminine—nine forms of Shakti, each embodying courage, compassion, wisdom, and joy. What better time to also celebrate you?
This watercolour painting workshop isn’t about painting. It’s about reclaiming yourself through brushstrokes of devotion. When you sit with your paints, something shifts:
- Your mind slows down.
- Your heart softens.
- You begin to see yourself again.
And in honouring each Goddess, you’re also honouring the parts of yourself that have been waiting to rise.
What You’ll Experience
Over 9 evenings 20th September – 30th September (3-5 PM), we will gather online to make watercolour painting of the forms of Devi, one each day. Every session is designed to teach you a watercolour painting technique and guide you to connect with the essence of the Goddess.

The 9-Day Goddess + Watercolor Journey
Each day of Navaratri, we honor a different form of the Goddess. In this workshop, you won’t just learn how to paint her—you’ll also connect to her energy, her story, and what she awakens in you. With every brushstroke, you’ll practice a new watercolor technique and a new way of seeing yourself.
Day 1 – Shailaputri: New Beginnings
Shailaputri, the Daughter of the Mountains, symbolizes the courage to take the very first step. She reminds us that every journey, no matter how grand, begins with a single decision.
In your watercolour painting: You’ll learn the wet-on-dry technique—a foundational watercolour painting method that teaches control and clarity. Just as Shailaputri embodies steadiness, wet-on-dry gives you strong, defined brushstrokes.
What this means for you: Even if you’ve never painted watercolour painting before, this day is about giving yourself permission to begin. No expectations, no perfection—just courage.
🌸 Day 2 – Brahmacharini: Devotion & Discipline
Brahmacharini represents patience, focus, and inner strength. She teaches us that growth comes not from rushing, but from steady devotion.
In your watercolour painting: We explore the wet-on-wet technique, where colours merge into one another like flowing devotion. This teaches you to trust the water, the watercolour paint, and yourself—letting go of control.
What this means for you: You’ll experience the joy of watching watercolour painting colours blend, a reminder that even in chaos, beauty emerges when we stay devoted to the process.
🌸 Day 3 – Chandraghanta: Inner Power & Balance
Chandraghanta rides a lion and symbolizes balance between fierce strength and calm grace. Her story reminds us that power is not harsh—it’s centred, radiant, and protective.
In your watercolour painting: We practice glazing, a layering technique where transparent washes build depth and luminosity. Just as Chandraghanta’s bell harmonizes energies, glazing teaches you patience and balance in layering your art.
What this means for you: This day helps you find your own balance—between family and self, work and rest, giving and receiving.
🌸 Day 4 – Kushmanda: The Cosmic Smile of Abundance
Kushmanda is believed to have created the universe with her radiant smile. She is joy, vitality, and abundance.
In your watercolour painting: We dive into layering techniques, bringing light and energy into your work. Layering mirrors how abundance builds—one generous choice, one joyful act at a time.
What this means for you: By the end of this session, you’ll feel lighter, brighter, and more playful—like adding sunshine into your day.
🌸 Day 5 – Skandamata: The Nurturer
Skandamata, mother of Kartikeya, represents unconditional love and protection. She embodies the divine mother within us all.
In your watercolour painting: We’ll use the negative painting technique, where you paint around shapes to reveal the subject. Just as motherhood often means holding space for others, negative painting teaches presence, patience, and subtle strength.
What this means for you: You’ll learn that sometimes what we don’t paint—what we leave open—is just as powerful as what we do.
🌸 Day 6 – Katyayani: Fearlessness
Katyayani is fierce, courageous, and unstoppable. She represents the fire we need to break limitations and rise in our full power.
In your watercolour painting: We experiment with textures—using salt, sponges, and layering to create bold, dramatic effects. This day is about being fearless, trying something new, and embracing unpredictability.
What this means for you: You’ll surprise yourself with effects you didn’t think you could create, reminding you that bravery always brings unexpected beauty.
🌸 Day 7 – Kalaratri: Courage in Darkness
Kalaratri, the fiercest form of Durga, symbolizes protection and the ability to face darkness without fear. She teaches us that shadows are not to be avoided, but embraced.
In your watercolour painting: You’ll learn the dry brush technique—where rough, bold strokes create intensity and contrast. It mirrors the raw, unfiltered power of Kalaratri.
What this means for you: You’ll experience how even “rough edges” can be beautiful, and how facing what feels dark can reveal your deepest strength.
🌸 Day 8 – Mahagauri: Purity & Peace
Mahagauri is radiant, serene, and pure. She reminds us that after every struggle, there is peace, clarity, and calm renewal.
In your watercolour painting: We use the lifting technique, where paint is gently removed to create light and softness. It teaches that not everything is about adding—sometimes healing comes from letting go.
What this means for you: You’ll feel a gentle peace, like a cleansing breath, as you watch color transform back into light.
🌸 Day 9 – Siddhidatri: Fulfillment & Wholeness
Siddhidatri grants blessings, wisdom, and fulfillment. She represents completion—the integration of everything learned and experienced.
In your watercolour painting: You’ll explore free expression, where you combine all the techniques you’ve learned into one painting. This is your chance to be fearless, joyful, and fully yourself.
What this means for you: By Day 9, you won’t just have nine paintings—you’ll feel renewed confidence, pride, and a deeper connection to your own divine feminine energy.
✨ By the end of the Navaratri journey, you’ll have:
A spiritual, emotional, and creative connection that feels life-changing

Why Learn With Me
I’m Vandita, and like many women, I once felt invisible. After a corporate career of 15 years, motherhood shook my identity. Art became my way back to myself.
Watercolor, with its softness and flexibility, became my anchor during sleepless nights and busy days. Today, I’ve guided over 500 women—mothers, professionals, dreamers—to paint confidently, rediscover joy, and believe in themselves again.
This Navaratri, I invite you to sit with me, brush in hand, and awaken your inner Goddess.
