Bhanu’s Art Journey | Vandita Bansal

Bhanu’s Artistic Journey

A 40-year-old mother of two, Bhanu hadn’t picked up a pencil since school. She came to me with a quiet dream — to paint portraits of her children. What unfolded next was a magical journey of courage, consistency, and creativity.

How It Started

Bhanu joined a workshop in December 2020. She was hesitant, unsure if she could learn as an adult. I reminded her — art is not talent, it is a skill. Within a few months, she enrolled in my full watercolor course.

Her Journey in Paintings

Mar 2021: First portrait — a soulful fisherman.

Jul 2021: Dreamy landscape — her first nature scene.

Dec 2021: Full Ganesha painting — bought by a friend.

Oct 2022: Portrait of her son — her original dream fulfilled.

Mar & Apr 2023: Old door with knocker — rustic and beautifully textured (sold).

Aug 2024: Large Ganesha painting for her new home — even the framer offered to buy it.

Her Art & Moments

“As a person, Vandita is very calm and soft-spoken. As a teacher, she never gives up on her students. Whenever I needed her, she was there to help. She was confident that I could paint this—and that it would turn out beautifully. I’m surprised I can even paint like this. It’s all because of you, Vandita. Thank you so much. You’ll be my teacher for life.”

“Aur bhi bahut kuch hai… but I can’t express it in words.”
