Rashmi’s Art Journey | Vandita Bansal

Rashmi’s Art Journey

Rashmi, a homemaker from Nepal and a mother of two, dreamed of becoming a professional artist. Though she had created oil paintings in college, life got busy and art took a back seat. She joined my watercolor workshops during the pandemic but could only fully commit in 2022. What followed was a journey of rediscovering herself and building a new path as an artist.

How It Started

Rashmi and I were friends and classmates in college. In December 2020, she joined my flower painting workshop and then painted a bird in April 2021. Finally in March 2022, she enrolled in the full Magical Watercolour course and began painting regularly.

Her Journey in Paintings

Dec 2020: First flower painting workshop.

Apr 2021: Bird painting workshop.

Mar 2022: Joined the full Magical Watercolour course.

Dec 2022: First complete painting — a portrait of an old lady.

May 2023: Monk painting — full of emotion and depth.

Dec 2023: Hoysala Temple and Saraswati commissioned painting.

Jan 2024: Painted her nephew — exploring realism.

Apr 2024: Rose painting — capturing delicate texture and light.

May 2024: Preparing to conduct her first watercolor workshop.
